Generational Patterns
I'm not the first of my bloodline to live a pattern where things get bad and then something breaks our way and we get through it.
My Great Grandfather Byron Everett Janes, Catherine Webb’s father, was a Mining Safety Engineer. Catherine wrote this about him in her “A Family History of California” self-published in 1975,
“Under my father’s philosophy or religion everything he wanted to do appeared to him to be the right thing to do. His intercessions with his God often prevented him from seeing the realities of the things he was planning to do . . . the purchase of land took money which the family desperately needed for food and clothes did not deter him because he believed that would be a great source of wealth to him . . . He took a job in Mexico when his efforts at marginal farming with a few assaying jobs in Nevada City left the family finances in a precarous state.”
